Year 2 Self Directed Drawing
Project 1
The source for this Self-Directed Project began in the Guinness Storehouse where drawings were created in situ, using a variety of dry materials.
The workings of the building and the busy ambiance created by visitors bustling through the Storehouse was less than desirable for creating drawings.
The area that promoted drawing the most inside the Storehouse was a large, dark room in which was situated large cinema-type screens and seats for viewers. Beginning to draw with charcoal and chalks, notebook pages were darkened and an eraser used as a drawing tool in an attempt to make out shapes within the dimly lit room.
These source drawings paved the way for the remaining body of work. art teacher
