6 week Consolidation Project; gaining entry into the BA (Hons) Art and Design Education

Project Description:

Physical connections between objects were made to form the basis of this project. Linking them together by means of dismantling, tying, wrapping, and joining. Could these unrelated items be linked together? Could they interact as a whole? Moments of interest were recorded from the assemblage through photography and drawing initially.

Investigative line drawings convey a sense of joining/interaction between the objects; moments of intersection and overlapping. Patterns emerged, drawings were repeated, overlapped and mirrored, the connections and network of lines grew. These moments were translated through drawings, into paint and 3D (painted) paper structures.
